Her buckets emptied, yet so full..!

Courtesy

Battling tired eye lids
Humming melody revives
Natural instinct

Love creeps through shadows
Buckets emptied, yet so full
Divine creation

I write this as i watch my mother talking to a friend over the phone. I have never been able to figure out her undying enthusiasm as she speaks without pausing. People love talking to her and i can see why. Sometimes i watch her quietly, and my eyes well up without a reason. There is a sudden urge to love her more. The love a mother can give you, nobody ever can. Her heart pumps more love than is necessary... There's always room for more.

This Haiku is written for the SHW and the Haiku Heights. The prompts for the week are 'NATURAL' and 'TRUE' respectively.

  3. None like a mother! The bond between a mother and her children are strong... but sad to say that not all moms treat their kids that way....
Well written! We don't see mothers appreciated so much these days!

    1. Totally! There are different ways of expressing love.. i wonder if there's a mother who cannot love a child..! But yeah.. some instances of cases stating otherwise are heard.. that's sad! A dark spot on humanity!

  4. A beautiful tribute to your mom -- you are both blessed. When I was pregnant with my second child, I remember worrying about my heart being so full of love for my first child that I might not be able to love my second as much. Then, after he was born, I had an "aha moment." As you said, in a mother's heart, "there's always room for more."

  6. This reminds me of something I told my daughter when she was little.

I said I give her all my love and she should give me all her love.

But she said if she did that, she wouldn't have any love for her mother and her brother.

That is the magic of love, I told her. If I give her all of mine and she gives me all of hers, then we both have more than we started with.

[Or maybe love is just infinite . . .]

    Cheers!
