Gazing faraway
Deep into the unseen fog
Alienated
Peering into space
Find epitome of life
Aliens wave back
Sometimes, we find the meaning of our existence amongst beings, not our own!!!
This Haiku is written for the Haiku Heights. The prompt for this week is 'ALIEN'.
Reminds me of the movie INDEPENDENCE DAY :-)
ReplyDeleteOh.. i haven't seen this movie..! Will try to lay my hands on it! :)
DeleteDo watch it, it's one of my favorites :-)
DeleteSurely.. :)
DeleteWell written. Sometimes we find the meanings of our existence amongst beings, not our own. I fully subscribe to that. When I am in the wilds, watching the unalloyed love between various animals I do realise the meaning of the word "human". We humans have forgotten it.

Thank You so much! You very well understood the point i was trying to put through! I agree with you totally :)
DeleteDunno what I'm gonna feel if an alien waved back at me ;) Nice haiku.
ReplyDeleteHaha... m unsure myself.. but by alien i meant to cover the whole bunch of unknown life around us! :)
DeleteI like the first haiku a lot... the feeling of being alienated as I continue to gaze... Brilliant..
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Tarun :)
Deletereally like this one
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice thought-that aliens would be friendly. On Alien movies, I like "District 9". Enjoyed reading this.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mitchell! :)
DeleteThis is an interesting challenge...but alien is a matter of perspective. What is ordinary to you, maybe extraordinary to me. I like the first one, the feeling of alienated as this is an experience everyone can relate to ~
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace! Indeed... it's the perspective! :)
Deletethe 1st was a direction I wouldn't have thought of - 'alienated'.....love it.....and, how do the aliens know we 'wave' in greeting?!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne! :)
DeleteLOL.. i've used 'wave' as a way of sayin sometimes we find comfort in the unknown, the unfamiliar!
Interesting concept!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vivin :)
DeleteExcellent Pranita :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
DeleteVery cool. I like this a LOT!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Susan! :)
DeleteCheers!
The idea of finding our own meaning in other beings is delightful! Love the waving image in the last line of the haiku!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Gemma! :)
DeleteAt some point of time all of us have such experiences...(This is what I think)...very well portrayed..
ReplyDeleteVery true! :) Thank you buddy!
DeleteNicely done and a good thought..
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot !!!
DeleteInteresting direction, Pranita!!

Thanks so much Sanjana :)
DeleteNice take on the prompt! First one is my favourite:)
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Tarang! :)
DeleteTrue thought... And very sweetly framed..
ReplyDeleteSometime I stare at the sky asking myself so many questions? "aaahh...What a wonderful world?" "We are just a tiniest part of this and we behave as if we are the kings of this world.. lol.. How stupid?"
Thanks a lot pal! :)
DeleteTrue that.. your musings! Sky gazing is like a dream watched with eyes open! :)
Exactly... Well said again... :)
DeleteThanks yaar! :)
DeleteExistence is always doubtful :)
ReplyDeleteSimple and superb!
