Window to the other side.

Enclosed with secrets
Bricks of trust form foundation
Unbreakable bonds

Shadows follow light
Window to the other side
Destined horizon

Life is a mystery
Yet clue lies around corner
Believe, future, joy!

Do and think not.. Think, then do!

 Moments of past joy
Hovers over present gloom
Nostalgia seeps

Bundle of sweetness
Precious memories bring smiles
Beautiful bubble

Love for past
Present mistakes haunt
No closure

Do and think
Repent regrets, so,
Think, then do!

The happy hours countdown begins!

Courtesy

 Happy hours countdown
Not many days left,  time rolls
Damn this dreaded month

Goodbyes will be told
Tears will be controlled, can i?
Words won't be spoken

Separation stings
Each goes own way, distinct paths
Memories will haunt

Those smiles in their eyes
Laughter of past surfaces
Tears of joy and gloom

As my moist eyes close
'I don't wish to see that day' -
Heart whispers to me

This month marks an end to my college life. The four beautiful years passed by and i dreaded the day i changed my calendar page to May 2012. I have finally entered the month i never wanted to enter. I wished for it to delay. I pray now that the days get longer, hours be added, seconds be infinite and moments be relived. But seems like the days are passing faster than ever. Before i know, i will be packing my bags and picking more memories. Things will never ever be the same. I will miss my friends and all the bittersweet symphonies we created and experienced together. Emotions choke me as i write. I'm left with no more words....

Leave held breath and breathe again - A Haiku.

Wipe trickle of sweat
Pop that life changing question
Silent tense moments

Hear your quick heartbeats
She says - "Yes, I'll marry you!"
Sublime emotions

See dreams coming true
Leave held breath and breathe again
Hold hands together

Run around the field
Wind blowing through open hair
Feel joy, feel alive!

My first Liebster Blog Award :)

Wow... I can't believe it... I logged in just now to find a comment which said i have a surprise from a fellow blogger! I went to her blog and found out she just awarded me with the Leibster Blog Award!!!!! W.O.W!

I never thought i 'll be so lucky to get it so soon. I really thank Divya for considering me worthy enough for this. I want her to know this means a lot. It's every blogger's dream to be recognized and loved by their fellow bloggers. And my dream just came true. :) Divya is a wonderful blogger whose thoughts i finely resonate with. She has this intricate way of gluing up words and creating some of the beautiful, thought-provoking, inspiring, magical posts. I wish her the best in everything she undertakes.

Well, there are 3 rules to be followed on accepting this award -
  • Link back to the person who gave you the award.
  • Pick 5 people deserving of the award and notify them on their blogs.
  • Post the award on your blog and spread the love.
With the first rule already fulfilled, let me move on to choosing the five blogs i find lovable -
As i learnt from Divya's blog, 'Liebster' in German supposedly means 'Beloved'. And these are one of the many blogs i really love. So here i go, spreading the joy i received to my fellow bloggers! Experience the delightfulness, rejoice and make it viral... Cheers :D

I 'STOP'd while you 'SNOOZE'd.... and it made all the difference!

Mornings are beautiful... I recently realised i've been missing on so much beauty and peace by hitting the snooze button a million times. There is nothing that can beat the view at my window as i see the sun rise. It's heavenly... it's beautiful. Picture perfect... Well, that puts me into a quandary! Cos i lovvv the late nights too. Gazing out of the window into the valley with its flickering lights, in competition with the star-studded sky, accompanied by the moon some times. That's a treat too... But a late night doesn't really gel well with an early morning if not accompanied by a lazy afternoon!

Sigh! Have been nocturnal for quite a while now, so i decided to be an early bird for a change. The splendiferous moonlight has been compromised for a resplendent sunrise. Early rising has its own perks. The only hurdle to be conquered is having the alarm to STOP instead of SNOOZE! Sounds easy (does it? ) but it takes every little ounce of your will power to convince yourself to get out of the bed. It somewhat goes like this for almost every other person i know -
  1. You hit the sack early at night, all set to wake up early in the morning.
  2. You set the alarm and zzzzzz.............
  3. You sleep like a dead person with some sweet dreams if you're lucky.
  4. Just when you reach the best part, your alarm goes nuts!
  5. You are mad at it for spoiling your dream, and also cos you dont wanna get up.
  6. You hit the snooze button.
  7. Five minutes later, your alarm goes bonkers!
  8. You hit snooze again, but this time you're not really able to sleep, but you still close your eyes for that 'five' more minutes of your beauty sleep.
  9. Another five minutes, and Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........
  10. You finally hit the stop button, but you're still debating in your head whether to wake up or go back to sleep.
  11. More debating, and finally (hopefully) say, the good part of you wins, there's another five minutes where you put into action, every little volition you have in you to take that big move of coming out of the blanket.
  12. You're still not ready to open your eyes though, and you do the 'horsie' on the bed for a while.
  13. More will power, and finally you take that one big brave step out of the bed.
  14. You give one half-opened-eye look to your bed, which is, oh, so inviting you to get inside the covers again. The blankets lie with their arms wide open reminding you of the coziness it can provide you.
  15. You use the one last rush of will power and walk to the washroom.
  16. You brush your teeth, with your eyes still closed.
  17. Then comes the most effective sleep-breaker! SPLASH! Right on your face.
  18. And you are Wide-Awake! Finally....! 8)

And then, it's a Good morning.....! There is no looking back. I pull the curtains aside and open my netted window and look as far as i can. The street lights from the far end mark a beautiful trail. But they do not stand a chance against the rising glorious sun, which is to soon take over. I hurry and change into comfy clothes and shoes, and out i go... into the dark frosty morning, jog, jog, jog.... till i hear my heart beating in my ear. Every beat i hear, and every trickle of sweat that i feel on my skin, is a happy thought of losing those extra kilos. ;-) The break of the day keeps me going.

I like to imagine the morning sky as God's palette. He has blue water splashed all over his canvas. He eases a drop of orange into it.. and waits till it gradually spreads... and then adds a drop of red followed by some yellow. The end product being one of the best paintings ever! And he makes one every single morning. All same, yet different, still beautiful...! In a way, it signifies the days of our lives. Same routine, different outcomes!?! It's like God teaches us that however the day passes, there is always that element which when added, has the potential to unearth beauty out of a mess! These are the times which replenish my belief that Miracles Happen.

As i tread ahead, i see the darkness gradually make way for the light. I look up and welcome the warm rays of the sun onto my face. For i know it marks the beginning of yet another new day, with more hopes, more promises and more challenges. The whole experience is exhilarating at times. I trot on, lowering my pace slowly, finally ending it with a brisk walk. I ramble about for some more time, trying to take in as much as the sunup has to offer me before it turns harsh on my skin.

A morning started early and fresh, always comes with a promise of an energetic, up-and-coming day! It brings out the cheerful side of you, which otherwise is lost under the cozy blankets. If anybody happens to ask me what i did differently from them, the secret behind my new found joy, beauty and confidence.., my reply would be - "I 'STOP'd while you 'SNOOZE'd.... and it made all the difference!"

This one is for keeps cos i love him and he loves me!

He came to me as a farewell gift from my aunt in class four when i was just leaving a familiar territory into an unfamiliar one. That's what happens to you if your dad works in a transferable job! Sigh! Anyway, i was all sad and miserable for having to leave back my school, my friends, my relatives, my soul-sister, my place! And just an hour before leaving, i get this gift which brings a smile on my sullen face.I am not allowed to open it immediately cos it's late. You can imagine what it is to have a wrapped gift in your hand and not be able to open it. More sobs! So my aunt decides to tell me what is in it. She tells me its a teddy bear! My my! The joy i felt cannot be explained in words. I couldn't wait to climb the bus and reach the destination just so that i could open it up. Hehe.. The wonders a teddy bear can do to you!

Teddy bears.... Brings a smile on almost every girl's face, lil or grown up! These soft cuddly lil toys actually play such an important role in my life. I wouldn't call em toys. Nope! Cos teddies n me go way too far. I can proudly say i stil have my first ever teddy bear with me and all of those which followed. I love all of them so much, but there's always a favorite. ;-)

The bus purred away, and i couldnt get my eyes off the box and finally dad laughs at me and tells me i can open it up if i cant wait until the morning. (Oh he knew i couldn't catch a single wink of sleep until i saw it :-P) Bless him! I tear open the wrappings, lo and behold...This box has a transparent side to it. And that's when i caught the first glimpse of what was going to accompany me for times to come, as my best friend.

He(Yeah! I somehow felt it was a 'beary boy'.. I have no clue why!) looked back at me with those beautiful brown eyes. I had a sudden urge to kiss his pretty lil pink nose. He was a lemon-yellow furry lil bear with a green ribbon. Satisfied with what i saw i finally look out of the window into the cold dark night, breeze hitting my face. A thing of beauty is joy forever? So true... I stared out into nothingness and all of a sudden i wake up mom dad. There's an emergency situation!

They look at me concerned, cos they know what i am going through with all the change happening. I tell them my emergency concern of the moment and they look at each other, burst out laughing. And i look back with disbelief and anger. Dont they understand...? I HAVE TO NAME MY NEW TEDDY BEAR! They try telling me that this christening ceremony can wait till we move into our new home. But i was deaf-ears. They slipped back into sleep while i put my thinking cap on! I had to name him and it had to end with an 'ee' sound.(I always had an inclination to name all my toys ending with an 'ee'.. pinky, dolly, beauty, baby, teddy, bunny...) Should i call him sweety? Yellowy? Yelly? Lemony?

And then it came to me with a rush of excitement, and it felt soooo right! CUTIE... :) The name felt familiar already. Lil did i know how connected i was going to be to this name in the times to come. Being a single kid, Cutie has played innumerous roles in my life- my sibling, my secret-keeper, my huggy friend, my bedtime-pal and my best friend. It's old, faded and weak now. But this old wise fellow is for keeps cos i love him and he loves me. So that was it, content and relief swept over as i drifted to a happy sleep hugging on to my Cutie pie. I wasn't alone anymore!

Cutie is my teddy bear
Which is very fair.
He has yellow hair
And a small tail.
He has two eyes
Which look very nice.
He has white toes
And a pink nose.
He has two ears
Which very well hears.
He has a bow green
And he is very clean.
For me he is dearest
And for all he is cutest.
