Doubting the obvious - My first attempt at a Haiku!

Don't lie to yourself
Doubting what was obvious
Saw it all along

At times we see the truth all along. It would have been staring right into our faces. We choose to go blind, we pretend not to see it for the fear of accepting what is happening. Why lie to ourselves.. why doubt what has been very plain and obvious. Save the repenting in hindsight!

My first attempt at Haiku. Thanks to Haiku Heights for providing a word everyday and collecting all Haiku writers. Hoping to reach new heights in here.

  6. rightly said Pranita :) some truths may be a bit tougher to face but when we face it better the shape we get. experience is the only "mantra" to face them with Will.

  7. Truly spoken. a great first haiku i should say. and lines describing the haiku too are deep and powerful.

Yes, people do this to themselves sadly. Things, they happen before eyes. they see it all along. yet, they doubt. partly because of lack of faith. and partly because of excess of expectations.

so then, welcome to Haiku ! :)

    regards,

    1. Expectations.. yes! More than the fruit, the chase for the expected truth is where ppl find comfort..! So they refuse to see the obvious!

Thanks for the encouragement Jayanth! :)
      Cheers!
