Painting heart with hope.

Courtesy

Shooting star whizz past
Lil kid folds hands in prayer
Heart painted with hope

Expecting magic
Lil more than ordinary
Spices bored routine

Happy wishful thinking
Momentary eye-sparkles
Living made easy

There are realists who do not believe in magic or miracles. But once in a while, when we expect something out of the ordinary, something magical, our heart is filled with a renewed hope. Wishful thinking is called 'wishful' for a reason. There is no guaranty of it coming true. But when we wish, we believe, and with belief, we work hard towards it, and if everything goes right, it just as well comes true! So why not indulge in something so abstract that has the capability of inspiring us, spicing up the otherwise stereotypical bored life?!

So look out of your window into the night sky... you might just spot a star waiting to fall just for you! Happy wishful thinking! :)

This haiku is written for The Haiku Heights. The prompt for this week is 'ORDINARY'.

  6. I like this new background, Pranita! It's so bright and attractive. Good one.

Coming to your haiku, it's thought provoking. We get bored of the spices of life once we are used to, so we want something extra always. Like a part of life. Nice.

  7. I love the changed layout of ur blog :) ofcourse I loved ur haiku :) wishes bring hope and for a lil hope magically comes LOADS of energy and hardwork.. the urge to bring that wish true becomes a believe when we start working towards it :) ofcourse wishful thinking is called wishful for some reason.. As i believe destiny can be changed with wishes, accomplishing wishes and hard work go hand in hand.. :)

    haffun this weekend :):):)

  11. That is right, Pranita! How wonderful sometimes things that are difficult to explain somehow occur. We still have to look out for them though but hope we're lucky that we get some. Good write!
